Maya Texturing: Fur

Here are my experimentations with fur textures in maya controlling global density, length, self shadow darkness among other things.

Basic Bear Fur

Basic Bison Fur

Basic Sheep Fur

Basic Porcupine Fur

50% Bison and 50% Bear

25% Bison, Sheep, Bear and Porcupine

Edditing Fur Density:

Bear fur at 50000 Density

Bear Fur at 5000 Density


Edditing Polarbear Fur:

Basic Polarbear Fur

Fur Length at 10.0

Fur With Black Lambert

Fur With Self Shade Darkness at 1.0

Fur With Self Shade Darkness at 0.8

Fur With Self Shade Darkness at 0.6

Fur With Self Shade Darkness at 0.4

Fur With Self Shade Darkness at 0.2
